Zip-Front Faux Leather Jacket — hip-length and easy to layer.
A hip-length jacket with a full-length front opening, cut roomy enough to take a layered shirt underneath without pulling across the back. The thinking behind it is simple: get the size right, get the surface right, and leave everything else alone. Nothing here is decorative for its own sake. It comes in 2 colours.
The surface has a tight, uniform grain instead of the open texture of a woven cloth, which is what keeps it reading as deliberate rather than merely dark. A smooth coated surface with a low, even sheen. It is wiped rather than washed, and it keeps that finish far longer if it is not left folded under anything heavy.
The seams are flat-felled or bound rather than overlocked and left raw, so there is nothing to catch and nothing to fray out of the wash. Hems are re-turned twice before stitching, and the shoulder seam carries a strip of tape so it does not stretch out of line on a hanger. It is graded S/M/L/XL/2XL, and the flat measurements for every size are in the chart below.
A zip-front jacket cut to sit on the hip, with the collar standing on its own and the sleeves finishing at the wrist. The finishing is what you notice after a month rather than in the first minute: nothing scratchy where the cloth meets skin, and no trim that starts to look tired before the fabric does. Pockets, plackets and waistbands are the parts that decide whether a garment gets worn, so they are treated as structure rather than as decoration.
Layering is where it earns its place: it sits under a jacket without bunching across the shoulders and over a base layer without pulling tight across the back. Worn in rotation rather than every single day, it holds its surface noticeably longer — and that applies to the cloth and the seams in equal measure. Between seasons, fold it rather than hanging it. A hanger is the quickest way to change the shape of a shoulder, and folding costs nothing but a shelf.
Runs the whole way and parks at the top, not a partial opening.
Finishes on the hip bone, so it layers under a coat without bunching.
Bar-tacked where a jacket is actually pulled hardest.

All measurements are taken flat with the garment laid out, in centimetres. Allow ±1.5 cm for hand-measured variation.
The stand collar holds its shape, so it frames the neck without a scarf.
The hip-length cut means it layers without bunching at the waist.
Cut roomy enough for the layer, and the front zip parks at the top.
Keeps the silhouette straight from shoulder to hem.
Keep it out of prolonged direct sun and wipe it down when it gets dusty. A coated surface ages slowly as long as it is not abraded — abrasion, not time, is what dulls it.
It stands on its own without being rigid, so it stays up when the jacket is open and sits flat when it is zipped.
The body is cut roomy through the chest and seat. If you plan to wear it over a heavy layer, size up and check the chest measurement in the chart.
We have not stated the zip material, because it is not something we can confirm with certainty across production runs. What we can confirm is that it runs the full length of the front and parks at the top, rather than being a partial opening.
